Wetland Mitigation projects must meet “no net loss” requirements.

Restoration Resources began designing and constructing wetlands in 1989 and successfully completed our first large-scale vernal pool mitigation project in 1990.  Over the years, we have constructed more than 7,000 vernal pools and 10,000 acres of jurisdictional wetlands including: ponds, channels, backwater sloughs, freshwater marshes, salt marshes, seasonal wetlands, riparian wetlands and riparian woodlands. We have also created shaded riverine aquatic and in-stream habitats for special status fish species. Our projects have helped our clients successfully meet federal, state and local wetland mitigation requirements.

Our projects have included sophisticated water delivery and management systems, as well as simple re-contouring of the landscape to take advantage of what Nature provides. All of our projects include ecologically appropriate riparian and upland plant communities to enhance the values of the mitigation wetlands.

Our tremendous experience with a myriad of soil types and topographic conditions allows us to ensure that our clients meet their mitigation obligations in the most cost-effective, aesthetically pleasing, and functionally sustainable manner.
